Oh noes! I've become a stalker?

Well, actually these twins are just so adorable that I could help myself from taking their picture D:

It's pretty dried up, with broken nerves and blood vessels and flaking muscles.


And this is Zuli and I during the 6th Intermedical Physiology Quiz for the A.Rahman's Cup.
UM beat many other from various countries to become number 1. Yay UM :B
Some of the participating countries are Australia (University of New South Wales came in second), Philippines (one of it's universities came in third), Thailand, Indonesia, China, India, Sri Lanka, Czech Republic and so on (these are what I remember so far ^^;;)
Also, not forgetting our local and public medical schools such as USIM, UiTM, USM, IMU, MMMC, and PMC.


Last week we had CPR training with our final years xD
They had to teach us CPR, with guidance from a professor and his personnel from the A&E department. Yes, we kissed the practice dummies. I think I'm capable of doing CPR now... although I wonder if I'm actually qualified for it :/

I'm bored...
I know I should be reading my biochemistry, physiology and anatomy right now :c
It's just that I felt my blog's being neglected xD;;;

My studies? Hhmmm...

I think it has been 3 weeks into studying, or was it 4?. Anyway, we started with a lot of gaps in the timetable, but now it's kinda packed. In the mornings we'll usually have lectures and maybe tutorials (we bombared the tutors with questions, ahha). In the afternoons it's mostly practicles, watching slides thru the microscope and examining the cadavers (aka, dead bodies... although they're kinda preserved-looking... like mummies :/ ). We don't get fresh bodies cause well, it seems that they don't import cadavers from India anymore :'(

Ahha, I'm supposed to be doing some research on shoulder joints right now.... back to google. Laters~

Life in UM?

So far it's okay.
Hostel food is so-so.
It's not the best but you won't die :'D
And the faculty is seriously near to my hostel, the 6th college.
Less than 5 minutes walk away.
[Makes me pity those who stay at the 2nd college, they're pretty far]

But there's one thing I noticed here in UM.
Racism is thick. Very thick.

Well, some of the students are pretty open.
And so are most of the lecturers.
It's those who aren't that get on my nerves.
They have this weird type of logic. Let me show you the maths...

Malay = Muslim
Chinese = Buddhist/ Christian
Indian = Hindu

And there were these group of seniors who asked all Muslim students to stay back for a while after lecture and said (and I quote)

"Budak Melayu jangan bagi budak chinese nota-nota awak, sebab the chinese takkan bagi awak nota diorang, no matter what. Kalau dapat pun, dapat je la. Jangan bagi diorang apa-apa. Kite Muslim mesti bersatu."

And there I was, a chinese-looking Muslim staring back at him.

Well, to tell you the truth, he was actually a repeat student. Smart huh?

But anyhow, I was of prepared for this. I'm guessing a lot more things (good and bad) will come in the future. This 'berpuak-puak' attitude has been in UM for a lot of years, but I hear there are 2nd and 3rd years who are trying to change that. I wonder if there is any truth in their words. But with or without them, I'll try my best too to form an interracial community in UM (no matter how cheesy it may sound xD)

Its a pity really, since UM is bragging that it is a 5 star university....
but to me it has a no star in unity.
And we shout 'UM is ONE' throughout the first week of haluansiswa aka. orientation.
